Trusting God’s Timing

Trusting God’s Timing
Scripture:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Devotional Thought:
One of the most challenging aspects of faith is learning to trust God’s timing. We live in a world of instant gratification, but God’s plans unfold in His perfect timing, not ours. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has good plans for us—plans to prosper, not harm us, and to give us hope. Yet, it often requires patience and surrender.

When prayers go unanswered or life feels stagnant, it’s easy to question God’s plan. But remember that He sees the bigger picture, and His timing is always right. Like a gardener patiently waiting for seeds to sprout, God nurtures our lives to bring us into a season of growth and blessing.

Today, choose to trust His timing. Surrender your plans and expectations, knowing that His path for you is filled with hope and purpose. Whatever you’re waiting for, God is working behind the scenes.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust in Your perfect timing. When life seems uncertain, remind me that You have plans for my good and Your glory. Give me patience and peace as I wait for Your plans to unfold. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step:
Reflect on an area where you’ve been struggling with waiting. Surrender it to God, trusting that His timing is perfect. Write down Jeremiah 29:11 and meditate on it throughout the day.
