The Gift of Grace

The Gift of Grace

Scripture:
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." – Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)

Devotional Thought:
Grace is one of the most profound gifts God offers us. It’s something we don’t earn, and it’s certainly not something we deserve. Grace is God’s free and unmerited favour, extended to us through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us that salvation comes not from our works or efforts, but by God’s grace alone.

This truth is liberating. No matter how many times we fall short, God’s grace is always enough. It picks us up when we fail, forgives us when we stumble, and welcomes us into His presence. Grace reminds us that we are loved, not because of what we do, but because of who God is.

Today, let go of any feelings of inadequacy or guilt. Remember that grace is a gift, and all you have to do is receive it. When you accept God’s grace, you are free to live in His love and walk in His peace.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of grace. I know I cannot earn it, but I humbly receive it. Help me to walk in the freedom that Your grace provides, knowing that I am loved and accepted by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step:
Take a moment today to reflect on an area where you’ve been trying to earn God’s favour. Surrender that to Him, and rest in the assurance that His grace is more than enough for you.
