Scripture:
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
Devotional Thought:
Waiting can be one of the hardest things to do. In a fast-paced world where everything is immediate, we often struggle when God asks us to wait. But Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that there is divine purpose in the waiting. Those who wait on the Lord are not wasting time; they are being renewed and strengthened by Him.
God promises that as we wait, we will gain new strength, enabling us to rise above challenges like eagles soaring high. Waiting on God is an act of trust, believing that He is working behind the scenes, even when we don’t see the results yet. It’s during these times that God builds our endurance and strengthens our faith.
Today, if you find yourself in a season of waiting, take heart. Know that God is with you, and He is preparing you for something greater. Trust that your strength will be renewed, and you will be able to run without growing weary and walk without fainting.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the strength You provide in seasons of waiting. Help me to trust You more and rely on Your timing rather than my own. Renew my strength as I wait on You, and help me soar like eagles, knowing that You are in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step:
Reflect on an area of your life where you’ve been waiting for a breakthrough or an answer. Pray over that situation, asking God to give you strength and patience as you trust His timing.
