Scripture:
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." – 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
In a world that values strength and self-sufficiency, admitting our weaknesses can feel uncomfortable. We often try to hide our vulnerabilities, fearing that others will see us as incapable. However, in 2 Corinthians 12:9, Paul tells us that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness. When we recognize our limitations, we make room for God to work in and through us.
Rather than seeing your weaknesses as flaws, view them as opportunities for God’s grace to shine. It's in those moments when we feel weakest that God’s strength is revealed the most. His grace is enough to carry us through every trial, every failure, and every shortcoming. When we stop relying on our own strength and lean into His, we allow Christ’s power to rest upon us.
Today, embrace your weaknesses as a place where God’s strength can show up. His power will sustain you, and His grace is more than enough for every challenge you face.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your grace is sufficient for me. Help me to stop hiding my weaknesses and instead surrender them to You, knowing that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. Fill me with Your power today, so that I may walk in the confidence of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Step:
Take time today to reflect on an area of your life where you feel weak or inadequate. Pray over it, asking God to fill you with His strength and grace, and trust that His power will work in your weakness.
