Faith Over Fear

Faith Over Fear
Day 12: Faith Over Fear

Scripture:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Devotional Thought:
Fear is something we all experience. It creeps into our thoughts, making us doubt, worry, and sometimes even paralyzing us from taking steps forward. Yet, 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that fear does not come from God. Instead, He has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.

When fear rises up, it’s an opportunity to lean into faith. Fear may come, but it doesn’t have to control you. God’s power is within you, and His love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). With a sound mind, you can focus on His promises rather than your worries. Faith overcomes fear when we choose to trust in God’s power instead of being swayed by our circumstances.

Today, ask yourself: what fears have been holding you back? Surrender them to God and remember that He has equipped you with everything you need to face those fears with faith, power, and love.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You that I don’t have to live in fear. Help me to lean on Your power and trust in Your love when fear tries to overtake me. Strengthen my faith so I can walk boldly, knowing You are with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step:
Identify one fear that has been troubling you recently. Take a moment to pray about it, then consciously choose to act in faith, knowing that God has equipped you with power and love to overcome that fear.
